About Your Instructors

Joylynn M. Ross, Subject Matter Expert

CEO and founder of Path To Publishing, co-founder of Path To Connections, Joylynn M. Ross

For nearly a quarter-of-a-century, Joylynn has worked to cultivate and coach authors and small business owners on the steps to turn their problems into profits. While she might not have authored the book, she’s lived it in her own life and helped translate those experiences into profit-making strategies for hundreds of authors and executives.

Her expertise and work with small business owners was recently recognized by the Small Business Administration, who nominated her company for a MicroEnterprise of the Year Award in 2024.

Brandy M. Miller, Author & Lead Trainer

Brandy went from publishing the Poverty Diaries in 2014 to writing and publishing Turning Problems into Profits in 2019. She took her own life experiences of learning to turn her problems into profits and leveraged that to write a book she knew could save lives, shape history, and change the world.

Now, she brings those same strategies to her work as the Director of Program Development for Joylynn’s Path To Publishing Brand, the co-founder of her Path To Connections brand, and the Chief Acquisitions Editor for her PTP Press brand.

From Our Participants

“Every new adult transitioning from high school to higher education – at minimum – needs a copy of this book (Turning Problems into Profits by Brandy M. Miller, edited by Joylynn M. Ross, and published and only available through award-winning publisher PTP Press),” says H. Nicole Lee Ross, the UNLV college graduate who helped inspire this program. “Had I been equipped and empowered with this resource upon exiting high school and entering college or a career path – or anytime during my higher education career – not only would I have had a better success story, but so would my parents who cut the check for my higher education, and so would UNLV, the institution who cashed the check.  Every higher education institution or trade/certification program needs to make this book and/or program part of their student recruitment, onboarding, admissions, and welcome process. When the students win, the institutions win. And with this program the success stories could be endless!” Ms. Ross continued with, “The success of a school should be based on the success of the students it serves. Just because the tuition check clears doesn’t mean the institution is in the clear . . . not if they are a true partner in the student’s success both while earning,  and post achievement of their degree.”
